Our Summit SPFF51OSSSTB outdoor freezer has been with us for about a year. We love how simple it is to keep up with! We noticed some ice accumulation but couldn’t figure out what was generating it. The cause was discovered to be a power loss that lasted several minutes during Hurricane Irma’s severe winds.
Once we worked this out, we discovered that if your freezer is not powered during a power outage, you can melt the ice off of it using a hairdryer. Because it doesn’t require any refrigerant or other maintenance, the Summit SPFF51OSSSTB outdoor freezer has been wonderful.
We’ve used it to manufacture ice a few times, but we mostly use it for outdoor events. It has a vast capacity for food and drinks, making it ideal for large gatherings!
