Step 7: Power Roku On
To power on the Roku, you will need to use the remote control. There are two ways to do this:
1. Press the power button on the Roku remote control.
2. If your Roku is plugged into an outlet, you can also press the power button on the TV or cable box.
If you are using an older TV, you may need to press the power button more than once. To power on your Roku device, locate the power button on the device and press it until the device turns on. You will know the device is turned on when the blue LED light located in the front of the device turns on. When it’s finished blinking, let go of the power button. You should now be able to use your remote to control your Roku. If you have any problems, you can try restarting the Roku by holding down the pairing button for 5 seconds.

Once you have your network’s name and password, follow these instructions to set up the internet to your Roku:
1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote control.

4. Select “Set up connection”.

6. Select your network’s name from the list of available networks.

Updating installation and testing is the final step in setting up your Roku. This step will ensure that your Roku is up to date with the latest software releases and that all of your channels are functioning properly.

After the update is installed, test your channels by going to Settings > System > Play a channel. This will launch a random channel from your lineup. If the channel launches and plays without issue, then your Roku is ready to use!
